Before the lesson
Give learners page 1; use the suggested answers on page 2 after they have written and compared their own responses.
- Identify which patterns ask availability, propose details, change a plan or confirm it.
- Write responses for Saturday availability, a film, class trip, cafe meeting and other arrangements.
- Practise a change of time and finish by repeating the final day, time and place.
Support and extension
Use a simple diary grid. Extend with one unavailable slot and a workable alternative. Accept appropriate invented details; See you then is useful only when both speakers know what then means.
Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
