Before the lesson
Use both pages. Read the two model conversations before distributing the paired role cards; partners should see only their own instructions.
- Read where staff check the booking, cabin restrictions and itinerary rather than give a universal rule.
- Practise excess baggage, the short connection and incorrect name; separate confirmed information from options under review.
- Confirm the immediate next step and where updates or booking assistance are available.
Support and extension
Use invented passports and itineraries, never real identity details. Extend with a clarification request. Do not guarantee boarding, a connection or a refund; airline requirements in real travel must be checked.
Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
