Before the lesson
Give learners page 1; use the suggested answers on page 2 after they have written and compared their own responses.
- Identify the supplied trend or evidence before choosing likely, anticipate or expected to.
- Write forecasts about customer interest, system rollout, energy prices, training and other changes.
- Compare a trend-based prediction with a conditional one, including costs if energy prices remain low.
Support and extension
Use evidence/forecast/condition notes. Extend by naming an uncertainty that could alter the outlook. Accept justified alternatives; rising sales do not guarantee continued growth, and expected outcomes are not confirmed results.
Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
