A simple way to teach it

Before the lesson

Use pages 1–2 for learners and reserve page 3 for feedback. Begin with the printed warm-up and six-word matching task, focusing on expectation, efficient and consequence.

  1. Compare vocabulary choices, then read for the main idea before rereading the numbered paragraphs for detail.
  2. Compare speed for one customer with overall efficiency. Find both the delivery pressures and the accessibility benefits.
  3. Discuss waiting and combined deliveries, then plan the 140–170-word service paragraph with benefits, consequences and a responsible change.

Support and extension

Support with a customer / worker / environment chart. Accept accurate comprehension paraphrases; opinions need reasons, not the key's wording. Extend by asking learners to evaluate a slower delivery option while acknowledging who still needs convenience.

Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
