Before the lesson
Use page 1 and keep the suggested answers on page 2 for feedback. Start with familiar examples such as coat, hat and socks.
- Fill familiar letters first, then compare with a partner. The key includes accessories such as earrings and necklaces. It leaves I, Q, X and Y without common examples, but suitable alternatives can still be accepted.
- Review spelling, the initial letter and topic relevance. The answer key provides suggestions; other appropriate words or phrases are valid.
- Choose several items and describe what someone wears in different weather or situations.
Support and extension
Support with clothing pictures; extend by comparing regional terms such as trousers / pants or pyjamas / pajamas. Learners do not need uncommon words for every letter.
Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
