Before the lesson
Use the two model conversations and key-phrase lists on the single learner page; the final prompts are open-ended and need no fixed answer key.
- Compare library tool lending with a staffed workshop, including demonstrations and volunteers.
- Read the reports model and identify how in-person timing and online sampling limit conclusions.
- Use a prompt to create a dialogue with two key phrases and explain a difference's practical significance.
Support and extension
Offer shared aim/method/limitation notes. Extend by finding an overlapping result without assuming either sample represents everyone.
Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
