Before the lesson
Use the two model conversations and key-phrase lists on the single learner page; the final prompts are open-ended and need no fixed answer key.
- Trace why two arrival slots need clear wording, longer opening and staff confirmation.
- In the order-form dialogue, distinguish knowing where customers stop from knowing why.
- Create a prompt-based exchange with two or more key phrases, a specific objection and an agreed next step.
Support and extension
Offer problem/proposal/concern/check notes. Extend by explaining how the proposed change will be tested rather than treating it as an instant solution.
Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
