Before the lesson
Use the two model conversations and phrase lists on the learner page. The final dialogue prompts are open-ended, with no fixed answer key.
- Separate total survey responses from complete responses and positive answers in the results discussion.
- Check the revised project estimate and distinguish an inspection request from a confirmed booking.
- Develop a final prompt using two phrases and a listener's check of what has changed.
Support and extension
Provide original/corrected/implication notes. Extend by correcting an overgeneralisation, not just a number; avoid presenting estimates as commitments.
Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
