Before the lesson
Print pages 1–2 and retain page 3. Check bunny means a small rabbit and hunt means looking for hidden things here.
- Match the words and predict links between flowers, eggs and new life.
- Read for what families paint, what the Easter bunny is and how an egg hunt works; answer using the article.
- Compare seasons and children's games, then plan the 5–6-sentence homework about a favourite season and its activities.
Support and extension
Use picture prompts for egg, flower and bunny. Extend by describing an imagined hunt with location words. Keep spring wording regional rather than universal and allow learners who do not celebrate Easter to use seasonal examples.
Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
