Before the lesson
Use the two model conversations and key-phrase lists on the single learner page; the final prompts are open-ended and need no fixed answer key.
- Read the tram model and separate passing footfall, extra trade and an earlier-hours trial.
- Trace course applications, actual enrolment and room/tutor availability as different planning stages.
- Create a prompt dialogue with two key phrases, an assumption and a preparation that can begin now.
Support and extension
Offer evidence/forecast/condition/action headings. Extend by considering a weaker-demand scenario rather than committing solely on early figures.
Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
