A simple way to teach it

Before the lesson

Use the two model conversations and key-phrase lists on the single learner page; the final prompts are open-ended and need no fixed answer key.

  1. Record the fittings delivery, final delivery, unloading and confirmation conditions.
  2. In the room model, distinguish the confirmed Sunday session from the Wednesday time still being checked.
  3. Develop a prompt exchange with two key phrases, a concession and a stated condition.

Support and extension

Use offer/condition/confirmed/pending columns. Extend by checking what happens if a condition cannot be met; do not present a provisional slot as booked.

Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
