Before the lesson
Give learners page 1 and retain the page 2 key for checking. The personal responses are examples, not answers learners must copy.
- Compare the bridge being repaired with the temporary route that has been opened.
- Complete A about current construction, recent improvements, being informed and event preparation; include relevant time or agent details.
- Reorder B's solved problem, workplace changes and building reopening questions, then ask a partner about an imagined community project.
Support and extension
Separate being from been and check agreement in both questions and answers. Alternative nouns or time focus can justify other passive forms in personal responses; do not mechanically copy the key's town details.
Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
