Before the lesson
Give learners page 1 and keep the page 2 answer key separate. Its question forms are targets; personal answers are models, not required wording.
- Use the example to separate two completed pages from time spent checking figures.
- Complete A according to its activity, quantity and state cues; answer about studying, tasks, friendship and tiring activity.
- Reorder B's learning, progress and phone-ownership questions, then interview a partner about one recent project.
Support and extension
The cues target continuous forms in A1/A4, but simple forms can be grammatical with a different emphasis. Keep know and own in the simple form; accept meaningful contractions.
Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
