Before the lesson
Distribute cards 4A and 4B separately. Preview neighbourhood, household task and ideal; learners may use studies instead of employment.
- Ask the cooking, career and restaurant questions with an example. An imagined career change is acceptable.
- Move between concrete plans, such as an event or holiday, and opinions about free time or improving a neighbourhood.
- Ask partners to outline an ideal day and connect it to one answer about free time or disliked tasks.
Support and extension
Offer I'd like to ... and One way to ... would be ... as support. Extend by weighing two neighbourhood improvements. Learners can pass on personal career details; there is no fixed key.
Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
