Before the lesson
Use pages 1–2 and keep page 3 for checking. Preview reflection, community, lunar and iftar; allow about 50–60 minutes.
- Match the six words and predict how a routine can help people focus.
- Read for calendar changes, daylight fasting, exemptions described in the text and the evening meal; answer the five questions with evidence.
- Discuss community and respectful explanations of religious practices, then plan the 120–150-word narrative about food, family or a routine bringing people together.
Support and extension
Provide paragraph pointers and a dawn/sunset timeline. Extend by linking a shared meal with community. Do not prescribe fasting, judge individual observance or ask learners to disclose health or religious circumstances.
Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
