Before the lesson
Use the two model conversations and key-phrase lists on the single learner page; the final prompts are open-ended and need no fixed answer key.
- Separate bus timing and fees as possibilities behind lower attendance.
- Read the online-orders model and explain why a desktop check does not rule out a mobile problem.
- Create a prompt dialogue with two key phrases, more than one hypothesis and a specific evidence check.
Support and extension
Use clue/possibility/check notes. Extend by revising a hypothesis after new evidence; the models do not establish a single proven cause.
Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
