Before the lesson
Use the single learner page in pairs. Personal or imagined answers can vary; there is no fixed answer key.
- Read the ringing-phone model and distinguish an offer from a prediction.
- Give reasons for predictions, then respond immediately to the bags, bread and doorbell situations.
- Describe a busy morning and let the partner make three specific offers.
Support and extension
Supply I'll plus an action. Extend with won't predictions; distinguish decisions made now from previously arranged plans.
Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
