Before the lesson
Use the two model conversations and phrase lists on the learner page. The final dialogue prompts are open-ended, with no fixed answer key.
- Read the repair-shop exchange and separate remembered details from opening times or prices needing a check.
- Notice how the garden conversation uses thinking time before a clearer description.
- Practise a final prompt with two phrases, then give an answer or say what needs checking.
Support and extension
Offer a few seconds of planning. Extend with a useful follow-up; pause phrases should support the answer, not fill every turn.
Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
