A simple way to teach it

Before the lesson

Use the two model conversations and key-phrase lists on the single learner page; the final prompts are open-ended and need no fixed answer key.

  1. Read the test-practice dialogue and identify why the library is rejected and the cafe proposed.
  2. Read the rainy-Saturday model, tracing how space, food and arrival time are worked out.
  3. Use either prompt to create a new dialogue with at least two key phrases, a response and a follow-up.

Support and extension

Provide place/activity/time notes. Extend by introducing one new constraint; practise How about plus -ing and Why don't we plus a base verb.

Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
