Before the lesson
Use the two model conversations and key-phrase lists on the single learner page; the final prompts are open-ended and need no fixed answer key.
- Read the neighbour's lunch invitation and find time, contribution and dietary clarification.
- Trace the cinema invitation from Friday refusal to a Saturday suggestion still requiring others' agreement.
- Create a prompt exchange with two key phrases, a natural response and one practical follow-up.
Support and extension
Supply invitation/response/detail frames. Extend by keeping an alternative date provisional until all participants confirm.
Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
