Before the lesson
Cut or fold the single sheet along the dotted line and give each partner a different card. Each card has five questions. Preview What kind of music do you like? and When do you usually watch films?
- Model music types and a simple frequency or time answer. Permit fictional family details for the brothers/sisters question.
- Learners take turns asking and answering the five questions on their own card without showing it. Encourage a request to repeat when needed rather than reading a partner's questions.
- Ask learners to report a shared preference such as summer or winter and one thing they learned about their partner.
Support and extension
Support with animal, music and season words; extend with a simple reason using because. Do not expect a fixed correct opinion. This is an open speaking activity with no answer key.
Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
