Before the lesson
Cut or fold the single sheet along the dotted line and give each partner a different card. Each card has five questions. Preview Where do you live? and What is your favourite room?
- Model I live in ... and My favourite room is ... . Use a town or general location, not a full address; imagined homes and families are fine.
- Learners take turns asking and answering the five questions on their own card without showing it. Encourage a request to repeat when needed rather than reading a partner's questions.
- Ask pairs to compare eating at home versus a restaurant or YouTube versus TV, then recall one partner preference.
Support and extension
Support with room and family vocabulary; extend by adding a simple room description. Make personal questions optional. This is an open speaking activity with no answer key.
Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
