Before the lesson
Cut or fold the single page and give partners cards 1A and 1B. Review weekday, dish and good at; model a short past-holiday answer.
- Begin with the routine and transport questions, encouraging full answers such as I usually get up at seven.
- Alternate questions without showing cards. For holiday and country questions, allow I haven't been abroad or an imagined trip rather than assuming travel experience.
- Finish by recalling a partner's ambition or favourite dish and asking one relevant follow-up.
Support and extension
Support with present/past answer starters and would like to. Extend with a reason for a preference. Family answers may be fictional; there is no fixed answer key.
Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
