Before the lesson
Cut or fold cards 3A and 3B. Clarify siblings and subject, and contrast a regular weekend with next weekend.
- Partners ask the five questions on their own cards, listening rather than reading each other's prompts.
- Prompt learners to distinguish habits with usually from wishes with would like to. Accept I can't cook or I don't have siblings where appropriate.
- Ask each partner to choose one answer to explore further: a city, a music preference or a school subject.
Support and extension
Support with I enjoy ... and I'd like to ...; extend with Why? or Who with? A town or region is enough for Where do you live? No private address or fixed key is required.
Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
