Before the lesson
Separate the two cards and preview countryside, prefer and one thing you want to do this year.
- Ask the phone and English-use questions with approximate frequency answers; do not require exact personal data.
- Continue with books, housing, media and bad-weather activities, encouraging one reason for each preference.
- End with the learning and yearly-goal questions. Partners suggest one related follow-up, not advice the other person must follow.
Support and extension
Use I prefer ... because ... and I'd like to learn ... as support. Allow no-phone, no-book and fictional answers. Extend by comparing shared interests; there is no single answer key.
Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
