Before the lesson
Distribute the separate cards. Clarify switch off from work; permit invented examples for changed beliefs or stressful experiences.
- Take turns answering, avoiding generalisations about a whole culture and illustrating a school or public-art idea.
- Connect work boundaries with retention at a company, then friendship on social media with support for isolated people.
- Ask partners to revisit an answer about mistakes and describe what would make learning from one genuinely effective.
Support and extension
Support with reflective and qualifying language. Extend by distinguishing individual actions from organisational responsibilities. Learners may pass on personal beliefs or stress details; no fixed key applies.
Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
