Before the lesson
Use the single learner page in pairs. Personal or invented responses can vary; there is no fixed answer key.
- Use the restaurant exchange to distinguish noisy, too loud to talk and good enough.
- Discuss films, busy days, cost, time and food, adding consequences to answers rather than only naming adjectives.
- Compare two venues for an outing and negotiate a choice using cost, size, appeal and what is good enough for the group.
Support and extension
Contrast so + adjective, such + noun phrase, too + adjective and adjective + enough. Too means excessive for a purpose, not simply very.
Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
