Before the lesson
Use the single learner page in pairs. Personal or invented answers can vary; there is no fixed answer key.
- Read the flour-and-bread model and ask about the activity and duration.
- Discuss recent study, series, skills and outdoor time, then explain tiredness, muddy shoes, cooking smells or confidence.
- Describe two results without naming an activity; a partner guesses with Have you been ...? and asks how long.
Support and extension
Activity may have just stopped while its effects remain. Model have/has been plus -ing and keep the state know in the simple perfect.
Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
