Before the lesson
Keep the page-3 key separate. Use the asking for help warm-up, then match visit, early, busy, choose, helpful and enjoy on page 1.
- Read the three numbered paragraphs together, checking who and where before asking learners to find details independently.
- Follow the story in paragraph order. Distinguish the worker who helps Nora identify the bag from the driver who finds it.
- Discuss lost items, then outline the 60–80-word lost-and-found story with an item, events and ending; an invented story is fine.
Support and extension
Support with First… Then… In the end… Allow oral rehearsal before writing and accept accurate paraphrases of the key. Extend by asking pairs to add a brief fictional request for help.
Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
