Before the lesson
Use the single learner page in pairs. Personal or invented responses can vary; there is no fixed answer key.
- Compare a few sandwiches, little fruit, both shops and each guest in the opening exchange.
- Discuss time, friends and resources; compare either/neither venue choices and distinguish having some money or food from having too little.
- Plan an event for six people on a budget, choosing between two venues and assigning each person's contribution so supplies are sufficient.
Support and extension
Contrast few/little with a few/a little and countable with uncountable nouns. Each normally takes singular agreement; neither is singular in formal usage, though plural agreement occurs informally.
Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
