Before the lesson
Print pages 1–2 and retain answers. Review positive routines first, then contrast She works with Does she work? and She doesn't work. Display base verbs after the auxiliary.
- Read Planning a Sunday and complete Part A, checking both subject agreement and the following verb.
- Fill A new neighbour using one of the four specified forms in each gap, then make Part C negatives and questions.
- Write three negative sentences and follow the partner prompts. Report an answer using an appropriate positive or negative form.
Support and extension
For support, use colour or pointing to separate auxiliary, subject and base verb. For an extension, add a relevant question-word follow-up to a routine answer. Check fixed tasks against page 3; personal answers vary. Watch for does / doesn't plus an unnecessary -s rather than correcting every conversational detail at once.
Suggested approach. Adjust the pace and number of questions to suit your class.
